...Can't forget the baby!!

Kaylen didn't start school or anything but I think she is still worthy of a couple of pics!! Enjoy!

Oh the faces she pulls!! I wish we could have a camera on her 24/7! She is quite the character and keeps all of us laughing!!

What an angel! She looks so sweet and innocent in this picture but if we could only look into that devious little mind to see what she is really thinking!!

I guess being the baby of the family you can sometimes get over-looked so she is learning very young to fend for herself. She got the pantry door open, climbed up on a big bag of flour, and helped herself to the Skittles. She is quite the independent girl!!

Summer is officially over!!

Well, it's that time of year again! When we say good-bye to yet another lazy summer, and hello to another year of school! I have no idea where the last three months went! It seems like school just ended! And can I just say that when Jayden was born almost 12 years ago, the thought never crossed my mind that he would ever turn into a middle-schooler! I guess you just don't think about those things when you are holding a brand new baby! But here I am, sending my first-born off into the cruel world of middle school. I am WAY too young for this!!

Braedy ready to take on the fourth grade! I cannot believe my kids are so big!!

Ready to head out the door at last!! Kindergarten, here Mase comes!!

Cute Masen. He was so excited to start Kindergarten, it just couldn't come soon enough. He woke up around 7:00 and dressed himself, made his bed, combed his hair and then spent the next hour and 45 minutes repeatedly asking, "When is it time to go?"

Braedy and Masen were both pretty excited. Braedy was a little nervous but she sure doesn't show it!!

Jayden on his way out the door. Notice the faint hint of worry and stress on the poor boys face!!

This is Jayden after his first day. He realized it isn't as scary as he thought! What a relief!!

Silly girl!!

On the way home from the water park, Kaylen was being very silly so I snapped some pics. Her personality comes out really good in these pictures. She is such a fun and crazy little girl. So glad to have her in our family!!

Lazy Days at Roaring Springs

This is where we have spent most of our time this summer (when we aren't in Utah). It has been so much fun and the kids love it. I can't believe summer is over! It's kind of sad! Sorry about the overload of pics. There were just too many cute ones!! Enjoy!

Scott and Brenda on the Road!!

Scott and I took a really long but super fun road trip. We are looking to relocate somewhere in Colorado so we dropped the kids off at Grandma and Grandpa Garmire's on Thursday night and drove on to Provo to stay the night at Troy and Lisa's (thanks guys!!). On Friday morning we drove to Grand Junction, CO to take a look at a practice there. I loved the town. It is very deserty but it was so pretty and quaint! I really liked it but Scott isn't too sure about the small town thing. It's growing on him. Friday afternoon we drove to Glenwood Springs, CO which is in the mountains and is such a beautiful place!! Our good friends from dental school, Ben and Sarah Thornal live there and we stayed the night with them. It was such a blast! Thanks guys!! Here's a few pics from our stay there...

On Saturday afternoon we drove on to Highlands Ranch, CO to stay with some more dental school friends, Mike and Lindsey Millward, a.k.a. Team Millward. They live in a beautiful city just outside of Denver. It was so much fun! Thanks for having us guys! Mike, thanks for the perfect steak! It was awesome! We had so much fun hanging out and playing Rock Band. Here are some pics of that...

We had a lot of fun on this trip but we were gone way too long from our kids! 6 days! I've never done that before! It was a good break but I was so very happy to get back to them!

Jayden Scott

I just had to put this picture on here because I think it is so cute! And I have to say, I never thought I would be the mother of a 12-year-old! (He will be 12 in October!) I get to take him to middle school registration on Thursday and I'm beginning to wonder when my kids decided they could grow up without my permission! Anyway, I'm very thankful to have such an amazing kid as my first-born. He is such a sweet boy and so very helpful to everyone!! I love you Jay!!

Another trip to Utah!

We took another trip to Utah the first week in August. We went down because our sweet nephew, Zakry Troy was baptized on August 2nd. I left my camera at my mom's house so I didn't get a pic of him. (ARGH!!) It was a great day and we are so proud of cute Zak. Scott came home on the 3rd but the kids and I stayed for the next week. We went to the zoo on Monday, SLC to meet up with a friend from dental school on Tuesday, Lagoon on Wednesday, and back-to-school shopping on Thursday. It was a fun-filled week but we were all glad to be back home. I'm still not very good at remembering my camera so here are the few activities that I did remember to take my camera to. Thanks mom and dad for having us! Thanks Ray and Arlene for babysitting whenever I need you!! Thanks Lisa, Celeste and Cristy for playing with me! I am so blessed to have such amazing family and friends!!

Our trip to Hogle Zoo

We went to the zoo with Lisa and her kids on Monday, August 4. It was very hot but so much fun! Thanks, Lisa, for going with us and saving me so much money! You're awesome! Braedy wasn't feeling the best that day, she had a head cold but other than that it was a great day. We went to the Spaghetti Factory afterward. I forgot to take my camera in there and was bummed because Mase fell asleep on the table and Kaylen fed herself for the first time! That will teach me to forget the camera!!

Playing with Cristy Echols

I found out my good friend from dental school, Cristy Echols, was going to be in Utah the same time I was so we made plans to get together with our kids. Both of our husbands were at home working! I went down to her mom's house in Draper and we took the kids to Wendy's and the park. It was so fun to catch up with her!! Thanks for making time for me Cristy!! You're awesome!
